Weaker Dragon Slayers are somehow more immune, Natsu and Wendy don't get sick while being carried by their flying Exceeds, and Acnologia can still get sick in his inhuman dragon form. The Curse of Contradiction is a unique phenomenon in which living organisms die when they beholder feels love. As both Zeref and Mavis develop this curse, they find comfort in one another. After a forbidden kiss between the two, only Mavis falls into a near-death state. It's important to note that Zeref remained unaffected and that Mavis did not truly die like every other victim of the curse.
In contrast, both of their bodies and spirits literally evaporate when they finally settle their differences with the power of love. This shows that the curse is not absolute, but rather inconsistent. In what seems like an endless war against Alvarez, Makarov decides to sacrifice his own life to save his dear guild members. He uses Fairy Law, a powerful blast of magic that only hits his enemies and protects everyone else.
The biggest drawback of this magic is that it is potentially deadly to the user. Because Makarov uses Fairy Law against a whole army rather than just a few people, his body consequently turns stone-like as he appears to die. But after Zeref is finally defeated, Makarov randomly wakes up from his death without explanation. Gray is an ice mage easily identified as the character who is most often found shirtless. This habit is said to have started when Gray went through intense ice training with his beloved teacher, Ur.
However, there are often moments when someone will point out Gray's lack of clothing in the middle of a casual conversation. Ironically, even Gray himself is unaware of how his shirt came off in the first place. Either Gray has an unconscious stripping problem, or there is something even more mysterious than magic at play. As the main protagonist of Fairy Tail , it is expected for Natsu to grow in strength and become one of the greatest mages.
However, there are times when his power level seems to spike up for no reason at all. In his final battle with Zeref, Natsu starts out right on par with his brother's power.
Once Zeref steals all of Mavis's power, he uses Fairy Heart to become infinitely stronger than before. Ancient Demons? A group of 12 warriors at the level of Fiores 1 were 1v1 by members of 1 guild, Ezra one shotting a dragon with her busted body, and god, how acnologia was defeated will continue to haunt me.
So yea the later half of FT was trash. It had the potential to be a masterpiece in the beginning. The storu was intersting, the characters were relatable and made you want to know more about them, the setting of the world was great, and kickass magic powers. It all started to go downhill past the tower of heaven arc. Natsu and a lot of the other protagonists were beating otherwise more powerful opponents simply through the "power of friendship" that made them go beyond their limits.
Instead of giving a weak excuse like that, why not have the charactera actually train or seek out knowledge or introduce a new power to beat the enemy instead of giving flashbacks and speeches. Redundancy also played a major role in its downfall. Every arc was seemingly the same: a bunch of villains being a collective group get introduced, natsu and friends each get separated and fight one or two of the enemies, they get beaten on the first half but eventually win, reprat process.
There's a lot more but I can't put my thouhhts into coherent sentences so I'll just leave it at that. Fairy Tail could have been a really great anime but was wasted. Never got into it, was promised DBZ with magic but first few episodes were filled with dumb fan-service humor and unlikeable characters. Then when tried 2nd time by watching some movie first thing that popped out on youtube was main female character dancing half naked and teasing old men with her feet, nope, miss me with that sort of content Japan.
Fairy Tail back in the day was friggin awesome! From the animation, the comedy, the pacing, etc; everything about the early FT series was great The only reason why I still watch the series is out of pure loyalty. Fairy Tail still has them lit openings and OSTs, but the animation, cringey scenes, and horrible plot just kills the series altogether. Hopefully they up their game when the series reaches its final episodes Fan service can only go so far, and at this point, Hiro Mashima should just create a hentai series.
Obviously I voted 'yes'- it's the worst long-running series I have ever experienced and not worth watching. If you like it, good for you, but it is pretty bad. It's almost definitely the worst anime with its level of popularity.
That's nice. Hey gang, how are you gonna deal with Irene and August, they seem pretty damn powerful- oh nvm, they just killed themselves. Btw Natsu's gonna attack me but I'm going to forget I lost an arm despite losing it over a year ago, then I'm going to go from wanting to destroy the world and being totally ruthless to respecting Natsu because of one line about how he fights for his friends".
Zero threat, zero villain credibility, zero engagement. Why are they surprising? I thought it was common knowledge that FT was one of the most hated series ever. It's almost universally accepted that it has the most disappointing ending to any anime ever- it promised more than any other arc yet still disappointed at all times.
Perhaps there's something I'm missing: maybe there is a subtle beauty to all the simplistic, mind-numbing bullshit FT offers. Maybe there's a kind of genius to lines like 'Fro thinks so too', 'Meeeeeeen', 'I'm all fired up' and 'that's what it means to be a man! Maybe it is better to stick to shitty, one-dimensional, throwaway villains that pose no threat whatsoever and are hyped up only to disappoint again and again, a sort of brilliance in Mashima's writing that escapes me.
Remember how Brandish was introduced as a total badass then took a bath and got knocked out by a bump on the noggin? Terrific villain setup. He is powerful, he is cool, he is funny, he is everything you want in a character. The plot is an absolute mess. The main bad guy, Zeref, has absolutely no motivation for his plan.
He also comes out of no where on Tenrou and invades Fiore out of the blue. Also him having a long lost brother, real original there. All the different arcs are incoherent and none of them lead into the next. The characters hardly grow at all over the course of the series. Both in strength and in character. Nothing changes over the hundreds of episodes. There is only one thing that holds the plot together.
And that thing is Ichiya. Ichiya is the cornerstone of the show. He is the one thing that helps the show move forward. Rest in peace Ichiya. So to cute this blog into a few short words. Hopefully you picked up on the obvious satire and sarcasm.
Or maybe you just know what day it is. Fairy Tail definitely has problems, but I still love it just like most of you. You are entitled to hate the show, but do not ruining for others with something like this.
And also it is better to enjoy something than to hate it anyway. Anyway, that was my joke. Be safe and well FTA.
